Glenda Marteene

Chairperson

Glenda has spent many years supporting not-for-profit organisations that help to improve poverty, sickness and homelessness in Australia and overseas. She has also spent many years as an environmental activist and an advocate for sustainable housing, shaping her dedication to Blue Gum and the community surrounding it. Her qualifications in organic permaculture and bush re-generation form some of the key fundementals in Blue Gum’s sustainable principles, in addition to cultivating the philosophy she strives to live by.

“My ultimate goal is to establish a better housing model that is affordable for people under the co-housing model and is contributing a safe and healthy environment.”

Hsuan-Ju Wang

Vice chairperson

Hsuan-Ju is passionate about anything that connects with nature and makes the environment better. She loves making and trying things by hand in simple and sustainable ways because it can help her understand how the interaction works between materials. This leads to the dreams of building her own house and homeland one day, and this is also meaningful to her to help people build eco-villages. She hopes her knowledge of permaculture design can be applied to Blue Gum Housing in the near future.

Aiden Straszinszky

Secretary & Media Management

Aiden has a variety of experience with web development, design, and management, in addition to a key insight into council and planning matters. His passion for Blue Gum stems from a personal connection to Blue Gum’s key initiative of helping vulnerable communities, as well as an aspiration to further his development as an individual.

Indianna Marteene Chen

Treasurer, Management & Creative Direction

Indianna is a visual and performing artist who’s fascinated by the influence the creative arts have on our lives. He is passionate about Blue Gum’s relationship with the broader community, as well as building the social aspects of Blue Gum—even before we have houses built. His strong communication skills and experience in event running are among many of the strengths he brings to Blue Gum.
